Wow, i loved this task! Lucky me i have my bookcase right next to the computer so i took a quick glance and saw a couple of interesting titles, some of which i am keen to write so there will more than likely be one sum of this task! However, just as i was about to go and write one called "Promises Lost", my eyes were attracted by the bottom shelf, which contains all of our encyclopedias and maps and general reference books. My eyes caught a glimpse of my Mum's Robbie Williams Autobiography. It is called "Somebody, Someday".
Somebody, Someday
I hope, I might be somebody, someday (G D C)
Every girl I take home seems to runaway (G D C)
When they see all the baggage (Am G)
That comes with this package (Am G)
They can't bare to be with me another day (G D C)
Sometimes, people don't wanna know who I am (G D C)
They put a name to a face n turn their back (G D C)
Stick a knife in my heart (Am G)
Or into a vein (Am G)
Cuz I don't Think (Am G)
Things can ever be the same (Am G)
But I Hope I might be somebody, someday
Every girl I take home seems to runaway
When they see all the baggage
That comes with this package
They cant bare to be with me another day
But if i live through this to see the morning,
I pray to god, someone gives up their glory, to me
And If i don't
Get past the night
I want you to know
That I lived my life
But I hope I might be somebody someday
Every girl i take home seems to runaway
When they see all the baggage
that comes with this package
They cant bare to be with me another day
But i Hope I might be somebody someday (End on G)
There you go.
I have included the guitar chords, because I think that with that you can get a real sense of the song. The strumming pattern is not to dissimilair to that of knockin on heavens door!
Hey'a Matt
Great writing, really enjoyed the chorus, great meter, great rhyming, so simple, so perfect, well done.
Go well
