Interesting restaurant. The song, not so much. There didn't seem to be any story here. How did it get its name? Are there condoms on the table? Rubber trees as part of the décor?

Agreed. I was looking at it more as an invitation from the singer to singee to check out the restaurant rather than a story with the place as a back drop setting.
How did it get its name?
That's an interesting story, but I didn't think lyrics would be the best approach to telling it, but maybe it could.

I assume you are wanting this information in the lyrics, but if it doesn't get there, they give condoms after the meal instead of after dinner mints and they have the condom-themed decor and products in the gift shop

....so in all, maybe the song is told from the wrong point of view. Maybe it should be from a customer who visited telling what he saw/experienced....or if not the wrong POV, the wrong emphasis on the details

I notice now the details in V2 could be about any Thai restaurant, whereas it should be more about what makes C&C unique.....Then again, it wouldn't make it more of a story by changing the details about the restaurant. :?

James, I agree that it's not all that interesting outside of the title. I think that it could work well if told from the point of view of a first time visitor. And you could play up the safe food vs. safe sex idea.
